$2,500 stipend, up to $350 for travel, and housing is provided.Synopsis
This program, sponsored by the Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience, is designed to introduce promising undergraduates to the process of conducting original research in the areas of neurobiology and behavior. Areas of research include neurogenetics, the molecular basis of synaptic function, sensory processing, sensorimotor integration, and neuroethology. The animals currently under study include nematode worms, several species of insects, mollusks, frogs and toads, and mammals. Faculty members in Philosophy consider issues related to perception and the philosophy of mind. This program is open to all undergraduate students, but applications from women and members of underrepresented minority groups is encouraged.
