Synopsis
The Post-Baccalaureate Genomics Training Program for Under-Represented Minorities, coordinated by Agencourt, is a two-year program funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). The goal of this program is to increase the number of under-represented minority Ph.D. students with an interest in genomics. Program participants gain research experience under the guidance of successful genome scientists, and strengthen their academic qualifications through coursework at a variety of local universities. Graduates of the Minority Training Program are expected to enroll in competitive graduate schools with the goal of developing a career in the genomic sciences. The program also provides computer and course materials, GRE preparation, and assistance with graduate school applications.Potential areas of research include:

Competitive academic record
Intention to earn a Ph.D. and pursue a career in genomic sciences
U.S. citizen
