Synopsis
Description: The Biology Department of Hope College, in conjunction with the National Science Foundation, is providing opportunities for qualified undergraduate students to engage in a laboratory or field research program. Students will work on supervised, independent projects with a Hope College faculty member.

Eligibility: Awards will be made to undergraduates in good academic standing who are considering a career in basic scientific research in the life sciences. Woman and members of underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

Projects: Research opportunities are available in the areas of molecular and cellular biology, plant and animal physiology, ecology and systematics. In addition to actual research, participants will present oral and/or poster presentations of their research at a regional or national scientific meeting and submit their research for publication in a science journal.

How to apply: Complete the Application Form. Have Registrar send a current transcript of your college record. Have one faculty member send a letter of recommendation.
