Undergraduate Science and Math majors are invited to apply for a research program held each summer at the Wadsworth Center for Laboratories and Research in Albany, New York. Students will directly participate in such research projects as:Students selected into this program will do basic research for 10 weeks in the laboratories of the Wadsworth Center, the central public health science facility of New York State. The Wadsworth Center is unique among the state public health laboratories for its state-of-the-art facilities and the scope of its research programs. Participating scientists are also faculty of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, a graduate department of the University of Albany's School of Public Health. - Microscopy and computer image analysis of cells and macromolecules
- Gene expression and regulation
- Protein biochemistry and structure analysis
- Viral mechanisms and mechanisms of immunity
- Neurobiology and neurotoxicology
