The Section of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology of the University of Texas at Austin will offer a full-time, intensive summer research experience in molecular biology to a group of outstanding undergraduates. Participating students will be trained in laboratory techniques and work on individual projects under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Project areas include molecular genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and microbiology. Student researchers attend seminars and discussions, receive three semester hours of University credit, and may enroll in a free GRE preparation course.More information about this program is available at the SURP website or you can apply online.
