Recent Ph.D. Graduates Christine Poulos (graduated 2000). Christine's interests lie in both environmental and health economics policy. As a graduate student, she has worked on a number of nonmarket valuation studies, in the U.S. and in Africa. She has also spent several years as an economist in the National Oceanographic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Washington, DC. At NOAA she worked on a number of natural resource damage assessments concerning both oil spills and chemical releases. She holds a BA in environmental studies from the University of Rochester. She worked with Professor Kerry Smith, at the Center for Environmental and Resource Economic Policy at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She now has a joint appointment in the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Truman School of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri-Columbia
