He was teaching assistant in advance Microeconomics at the Department of Public Policy Analysis and in advance Econometrics at the School of Public Health. He has worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank on a project for reforming the social security system in Venezuela, and as a research assistant at the Carolina Population Center. He earned a BA in economics from the Catholic University Andres Bello and an MA in public policy from Columbia University. He is now Assistant Professor in the Program of Health Administration in the College of Public Health at the University of Central Florida, Orlando.
