How to use a search engine

There are many search engines available on the Internet. A search engine helps you find web sites or information that you want. The Brain Spot has included the search engine, "Google."

TO FIND GOOGLE:
Go to The Brain Spot's Resources page
You can click on the icon of the open book on the navigation bar or on The Brain Spot's home page.

TO USE GOOGLE:
To enter a query into Google, just type in a few descriptive words and hit the 'enter' key (or click on the Google Search button) for your list of relevant results.

There is no need to include "and" between terms.

Google searches are not case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "george washington", "George Washington", and "gEoRgE wAsHiNgToN" will all return the same results.

Google will give you a list of web sites to choose from. Click on to underlined words of the sites that look interesting to you.
