Recipe ~ Saucepan spaghetti
Things Needed:
Equipment: 
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 15 ounce jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 6 ounces of spaghetti noodles
  • Grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Large sauce pan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Colander
  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Large spoon
  • Timer
  • Steps: 
    Check off box when completed.
    o
    1. Wash hands.
    o 2. Put ground beef into saucepan. Use your hands to break up the meat.
    o 3. Put the sauce pan on the burner. Turn the burner to medium.
    o 4. Stir the meat with the wooden spoon. Cook the meat meat till there is no pink color left. 
    o 5. Turn the burner off.
    o 6. Place the colander over the mixing bowl. Spoon the cooked meat into the colander with the large spoon.  Let the fat drain into the bowl.
    o 7. Spoon the cooked meat back into the saucepan. 
    o 8. Put the fat in the mixing bowl in another container to throw away.
    o 9. Pour the spaghetti sauce over top of the meat in the saucepan.
    o 10. Put the saucepan on the burner. Turn the burner to high.
    o 11. Stir the sauce with the wooden spoon until it is bubbly. 
    o 12. Turn the burner to low.
    o 13. Break the spaghetti noodles in half. Put the noodles into the sauce.
    o 14. Put a lid on the pan.
    o 15. Set the timer for 30 minutes.
    o 16. Stir the spaghetti every 5 minutes  until the timer goes off.
    o 17. When the timer sounds, turn the burner off.
    o 18. Remove the pan from the stove.
    o 19. Serve the spaghetti with parmesan cheese.
