District 19 held its annual meeting on June 19, 2007 at the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA). Guests included current SEANC officers who gave us the latest news from the General Assembly. The Distinguished Service Award was presented to
Ruth Lewter.

Our scholarship winners were Julian Groover, who will attend Appalachian State University, and William Gore, who will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Dana Cope, SEANC Executive Director, was very pleased when he won a door prize.

The election of officers and delegates for 2007-2008 was held. Marie Tate was elected Chair, Jonathan Stephenson 1st Vice Chair, and Angela Lyght 2nd Vice Chair. Hazel Lunsford continues as Bylaws Chair. Wendy Watkins will be Auditing Chair, Peggy Cotton Nominating Chair, and Anthony Weaver Policy Platform Chair.
