SEANC's College Scholarship Program for active members, their spouses
and dependent children is one of many valuable benefits of membership
in the Association. Members, their spouses and their children are
eligible to apply for scholarships to attend technical schools,
junior colleges or four-year universities or colleges on a full-time
basis.
Scholarships are awarded to successful
candidates based on criteria that include demonstrated academic
potential, financial need, school and community activities, character
and motivation. At the state level, SEANC scholarships will be awarded
in the following categories.
- 15 ($1,000) 4 year merit
- 21 ($1,000) 4 year financial need
- 4 ($500) 2 year merit
- 4 ($500) 2 year financial need
- 10 ($500) SEANC member only
At the local level, District 19 awards scholarships
to three successful candidates. District 19's most recent scholarship winners ars Laura Curry, Samantha Everette, and Ashlee Knight.
