Location:UNC-CH FedEx Global Education Center, Room 4003

Please join us at our first Carolina Seminar on "Russia and Its Empires, East and West." We will meet Wednesday, November 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the UNC-CH FedEx Global Education Center, room 4003 (directions follow at the bottom).

Our presenter will be David Siroky, who is completing his doctoral dissertation in political science at Duke University. His research examines the problem of violent secessionist conflict and aims to address an important debate about the conditions under which secession is a peaceful solution to ethnic conflict. The chapter that he will present for seminar participants to discuss will focus on on the case of Kosovo in comparative Balkan perspective.

Please contact Sandi Payne Greene at <payne@email.unc.edu> for a copy of the paper.
