FEBRUARY 11-16, 2008 Conductor John Mauceri, Director Gerald Freedman, and the North Carolina School of the Arts collaborate with the North Carolina Symphony in this groundbreaking performance. A North Carolina Symphony special presentation combining music with actors from the NC School of the Arts. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the world concert premiere of Shostakovich's magnificent score written for Russian director Grigori Kosintsev's 1964 film of Shakespeare's immortal Hamlet.
