POLISH FESTIVAL - DAY TWO

Polish Festival will move to University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, to present Polish Film Festival and art exhibit.

Program

  • 12Noon-1:30 PM: Introduction followed by reception and refreshments. Meet the artists.

  • 1:30 PM - Film Festival: "Poland and its people - a soul of the nation evolving" begins

  • 1:30 - 3:00 PM - "Segment 76" (in Polish with English subtitles) Life in Poland under communistic regime. Everyday struggles with its absurdity and nonsense.

  • 4:00 - 5:30PM - "Squint Your Eyes" (in Polish with English subtitles)
  • Note:

    (1)Contemporary Poland and its society's struggle with newly acquired freedom, and rules of capitalistic economy. This is opportunity for all who missed this great film shown by PAC last year.

    (2)" Polish food (sandwiches, desserts and drinks) will be available for purchase during the event. (Catered by Integro Deli). Also, Polish films on DVD will be sold.

    (3)" Admission to both showings is free. PAC greatly appreciates the donations to help offset the cost.
