Prof. Gerovitch (MIT, Program in Science, Technology, and Society) is a leading scholar of the history of science in the USSR. He is author of the 2004 award-winning book, From Newspeak to Cyberspeak: A History of Soviet Cybernetics. This talk will be based on his current research.
