In conjunction with research for the Initial Decade book, parliamentary election statistics for six post-communist parliaments (Czech Republic, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Russia and Slovenia) are now available on line (http://library.uncg.edu/ir), the website of the Library of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Data for each election are reported in five tables:
1) Votes and Seats,
2) Effective Number of Electoral Parties,
3) Votes and Seats by Threshold Level,
4) Parliamentary Party Group Seats at Beginning of Session, and
5) Effective Number of Parliamentary Party Groups at Beginning of Session.
These data have been collected at the Center for Legislative Studies, in UNCG’s Department of Political Science, with Prof. William E. Crowther and Prof. David M. Olson as co-directors.
