Strategic
Information Technology Planning
Business Analysis helps departments utilize their existing IT resources
effectively and identifies new technologies that could improve your
business. We work closely with required ITS groups to promote
University-wide integration of services. We develop plans that:
- Establish an overall departmental vision of what technology could do
- Describe technology’s role in supporting your mission
- Identify alternative approaches for achieving that vision
- Determine criteria to be used in selecting an approach from those presented alternatives
- Review existing documentation to see what might be missing, or misused
IT Planning and Design
Business Analysis will work with you to:
- Develop, document, and promote your hardware, software, data, and application development standards
- Plan for, evaluate and compare potential technology purchases
- Establish proposal evaluation criteria
- Analyze and recommend among alternative products and interface techniques
Project
Management
Business Analysis utilizes project management methodology as well as
incorporates IT specific processes. We manage projects in a
consistent way, utilizing a process best suited to each projects size,
complexity, and timeline.
