- Discussion of the language requirements for the TAM program.
One must choose to pursue one of two types of degrees offered by TAM: a UNC degree or a European degree.
Students applying for the TransAtlantic Masters Program have the option of choosing between various European degree options and a master's degree in Political Science granted through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before beginning the application process, students should therefore carefully consider which degree best suits their own interests and abilities.
The procedure for applying to the TAM program is significantly different for those students wishing to obtain a master's degree from UNC. If you choose to receive a UNC-CH M.A. degree in political science, you must apply both to the TAM office and to the Graduate School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Feb 2nd, 2009 is the deadline by which all your application and support materials should be submitted to the TAM office. Please remember that you must also meet the Graduate School's deadlines when submitting your materials there.
In exploring our webpage, please note the different options associated with the various degree tracks.
At European sites, students who elect to submit and defend their thesis receive a formal qualification from that site. In addition, students will receive a Transatlantic Masters certificate, testifying to the fact that they have successfully completed this particular masters course of study.
* All European degrees offered are Masters degrees.
