Upon their return, recipients of the Phillips Scholarship are asked to write a paper describing:

1. the nature of their travel experience,
2. what the experience meant to them and
3. any advice they might wish to share to the benefit of future recipients of this Scholarship.

The following excerpts from the post-travel reports by Phillips Scholarship recipients give evidence of the wisdom of Frances L. Phillips in her establishment of this outstanding program for students at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
