The Cluster Program

The Cluster Program encourages you to make connections among courses offered across several disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences. A cluster is a group of courses organized around a common theme and representative of different disciplinary approaches to defining and engaging in an intellectual problem. You may take any three courses in a cluster, but we recommend beginning with a core course. Many cluster courses satisfy Approaches and Connections requirements, but their principal advantage is the opportunity they offer you to examine a topic from the perspective of several disciplines.
