The Office: Office of Experiential Education
The office of Experiential Education seeks to create, promote, expand, and publicize the experiential learning available to Carolina’s undergraduates. The Director of Experiential Education identifies existing EE opportunities, facilitates the creation of new opportunities, and helps to communicate valuable information about Experiential Education to both students and faculty. The Director also helps departments and curricula to integrate experiential learning opportunities into their major requirements and other course offerings. Faculty can click here for information about the EE requirement and a list of resources for developing courses that meet it. The Director also consults with the Study Abroad office, the office of Career Services, the APPLES Service-Learning Program, and other units across campus as they expand and enhance their own curricular programs, and plays a key role in supervising and evaluating certain kinds of student internships. Students wishing to earn academic credit for internships should consult the Internship FAQ.
