Philip G. Boysen, M.D.

Dr. Boysen is chair of the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Anesthesiology. He has written numerous articles and textbook chapters on pulmonary risk, anesthesia and thoracic surgery, and the relationship between sleep disorders and oxygen flow.

Boysen relates his research to the lay audience as he discusses recent advances in understanding pain and the applications of basic research to clinical medicine.
