Christopher Putney, Ph.D.

Christopher Putney is an associate professor in the Department of Slavic Languages, College of Arts and Sciences, where he specializes in medieval and nineteenth-century Russian literature.

He is the author of the book Russian Devils and Diabolic Conditionality in Nikolai Gogol's Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka and several articles on the Devil and the problem of evil in Russian culture.
