Sarah Shields, Ph.D.
Sarah Shields is associate professor of History, serves on the women's studies faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences and is a fellow of the Institute for the Arts and Humanities. She teaches courses on the modern Middle East, women in the Middle East, and Islamic civilization. Her current research is on the creation of national identities in the Middle East between the world wars.
