Clay Whitehead, M.D.
Dr. Whitehead is a physician and psychoanalyst who delights in sharing his interest in the art and science of psychotherapy, the history of medicine, and mythology. Long a teacher at UCLA, and now in North Carolina, Dr. Whitehead has written on the theory and practice of psychotherapy, psychohistory, medical identity, substance abuse, hospital design, nuclear terror, and evolution.
In 1985, Dr. Whitehead was elected a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and presently serves as a Trustee of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis.
