Visitors are always welcome at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! Whether you have a few minutes or a few weeks, we hope you will enjoy your time on campus and experience the magic of Carolina.

For detailed information about the University, the town of Chapel Hill and the Research Triangle area, click on the links to the left or download a copy of the latest UNC Visitors' Guide. You may also pick up a copy of the guide at the Visitors' Center.

UNC-Chapel Hill's 729-acre central campus is among the most beautiful in the nation. Follow brick walkways into the University's early years by taking a walking tour of its most historic sites. Maps within the Visitors' Guide will guide you through the heart of the nation's first state university.

The Visitors' Center conducts historic tours Monday - Friday. During summer hours, please call ahead for an appointment due to limited staff availability. For interested visitors, audio tours of the historical campus are available when the center is open.

Prospective undergraduate students and their families should arrange tours through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

All other visitors should arrange tours through the Visitors' Center. The Visitors' Center conducts tours for groups by appointment. For tour information, please call (919) 962-1630.
