The Ackland Art Museum provides UNC students (as well as faculty, staff, and town residents) with access to an extensive collection of over 15,000 pieces of art. The UNC Libraries website contains much more than just the library catalog. You'll find the Subject Guides helpful especially if you aren't sure what library resources are available in your field. Use the Tutorials to learn about citing sources in MLA, APA, CSE and Chicago style, finding images using the ARTIFAQ database, and conducting different types of research. You can also contact a reference librarian through this page by email, phone, or IM when you're in the middle of research and aren't sure where to turn next.

CWS/CAPS http://caps.unc.edu/

Counseling and Wellness Services (formerly CAPS) supports students through a wide range of psychological and counseling services. UNC students can make appointments for individual and couples counseling sessions; students can also contact CWS for same-day crisis intervention. CWS provides learning disability assessment and support, career exploration services, and academic interventions in consultation with students' deans. The Department of Disability Services (DDS) works with students who have physical or psychological disabilities. DDS works on a case-by-case basis to provide a wide range of academic accommodations. Staff members at the Learning Center provide services to help students succeed in their course work at UNC. The Learning Center offers free academic counseling and peer tutoring services, as well as standardized test preparation services for a fee. Visit the Learning Center's website to learn about receiving supplemental instruction in many science classes and language classes; you'll also find links to a number of resources on- and off-campus that aim to improve students' reading, studying, note-taking, and test-taking skills.

Academic Success Program for Students with LD/ADHD http://www.unc.edu/depts/lds/

This program, formerly known as Learning Disabilities Services, provides support for students with diagnosed learning disabilities and ADHD. Students work with LD/ADHD specialists who coordinate accommodations with instructors. Visit their website to find information about the free support services this office provides. The Academic Success Program now collaborates with Disability Services to determine eligibility for services.

The MRC is much more than a film library. In addition to its extensive film and audio collection, the MRC is also home to the Digital Media Lab and the Digital Audio Lab, where you can use the latest hardware and software to author DVDs, create websites, edit audio, and more. With a OneCard, you can reserve and check out digital still cameras, digital video cameras, and lighting kits. The Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS) provides support for international students, international scholars, and their spouses. This support includes pre-semester orientation programs, personal and academic advising during the semester, and tax seminars during March and April each year. The OISSS also helps international students and scholars identify other academic and support resources on campus and directs students toward English language opportunities on campus and beyond. Every student at UNC gets a Refworks account; don't let yours sit there unused. Use this resource to organize your research and to format bibliographies and in-text citations. Keeping a database of your research in Refworks is especially helpful if you might revisit some of your sources for later projects.

Student Health Services provides students with access to medical personnel by appointment and can also direct students to after-hours and emergency care.
