The University mark and its typography are trademarks of the University. Use of the identity will be managed by the Office of University Relations with the aid of University Design Services and University Printing Services. If you have questions about using the logo, please call us at 919.962.7123.
Here are the basic guidelines for using the logo on the Web or in your printed projects. For additional information, please consult the Graphic Identity Manual.

  1. Allow clear space equal to 1/2 the height of the Old Well symbol around the logo. The logos in the standard package available for download from this page already have the proper clear space built into the image. see an example

  6. When printing in process color (CMYK), increase the weight of the vertical line between the Old Well and the text 20%, so it doesn't disappear. see an example
  7. If you need to resize the logo, keep the Old Well, vertical line, and text proportional to each other. see an example
  8. Do not make the logo too small. For print publications, maintain a width of 1.875 inches (11p3). For merchandise, the logo can be as small as 1 inch (6p). see an example
