The UNC Harvey Beech Scholarship

Named for the late Harvey Beech, the first African-American student to graduate from UNC, the awards have been given annually since 1989 to recognize community leadership and support of UNC and the Black Alumni Reunion.

2012 Harvey Beech Scholarship Applications Now Available!

Winners are chosen based on academic GPA improvement (semester-based or cumulative), financial need, and contributions to campus life. The scholarships are open to all sophomores and juniors at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Applications and Information

All applications can be dropped off at 07 South Building or can be mailed to
Mariah Street, Office for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, CB#9125

Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012.
