All nominations and applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2006. The scholarship is open to all juniors at UNC Chapel Hill.

About the MLK Scholarship Fund : The Scholarships are open to all juniors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . The awards are given annually to students who, as judged by the MLK , Jr. Scholarship Committee, best exemplify Dr. King's commitment to our society. We would like all student organizations to participate and would appreciate your help identifying qualified candidates. Please feel free to nominate more than one candidate.
The MLK University/Community Planning Corporation continues to award scholarships to deserving Chapel Hill-Carrboro high school students. Since 1993, we have awarded over 50 scholarships to students from a variety of racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds.
In addition, the MLK Scholarship Fund supports scholarship for outstanding juniors at UNC Chapel Hill. Application deadline is early November; scholarship winners will be anounced at the annual MLK Memorial Banquet in January.
