Founder's Day
On November 19, 2005, over 250 alumni gathered at the new DU house to celebrate its unveiling, ushering in a new era for Delta Upsilon at UNC.

The purpose of the GCE is to recognize and honor those members of DUUNC who strive to excel in all facets of university and fraternity life.  Any member who meets the criteria explained below for one semester will be a member of the GCE for that semester.  Each semester, one member of the GCE will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship, which will be paid directly into his account with the University.  The winner will be selected by the Gray Committee, based upon evaluation made by the committee, which may include an essay, an interview, or any other selection process the Committee chooses.

Who is eligible?
1.  Any active fraternity member in good standing who, prior to the semester of competition, has been a member of DU for at least two semesters, including the semester he pledged.  Second semester seniors are not eligible.  Thus, a man who pledges the first semester of his freshman year will be able to compete in the first semester of his sophomore year.
            a. Good standing means:

    • Fraternity bills are current and have been paid on time
    • Man has not, in the previous semester, been disciplined by the fraternity, the University, or any civil authority (other than minor traffic tickets)
