Founder's Day
On November 19, 2005, over 250 alumni gathered at the new DU house to celebrate its unveiling, ushering in a new era for Delta Upsilon at UNC.

Delta Upsilon is an international men's fraternity founded in 1834 at Williams College.  There are now 82 chapters and 3 colonies at colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada.  DU has a long list of distinguished alumni who have worked at the highest level of industry, education, and government.   DU is committed to Building Better Men through our four founding principles that challenge our brothers to expect nothing less than excellence from themselves and others.  Those principles are: The Promotion of Friendship, The Development of Character, The Diffusion of Liberal Culture, The Advancement of Justice.

Delta Upsilon is a non-secret fraternity. There are no secret rituals, no secret oaths, and no hazing. We are proud of what DU stands for and proud to be the world's only international fraternity committed to sharing our ideals, symbols, and rituals openly.
