Sample Syllabi for College Teachers
These syllabi are intended as a guide in organizing course contents and/or in assigning topical readings for college-level courses. You can filter (see immediately below) and/or sort information in the College Syllabi Excel-based database to quickly identify the courses of most interest to you.

To Filter, the College Syllabi file, follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the file above to download it to your desktop or hard-drive. Open the newly saved file.
2. Click Data, then click "Auto filter"
2. Drop-down arrows will appear along the top row. Click on them to see all choices available in that row. For example, to list all the University of Pittsburgh courses, you would select the "University of Pittsburgh" option in the auto drop-down box. Now, only University of Pittsburgh courses will be displayed.

Francophone Identities (bilingual site)		Identity/ Culture		Bilingual French/English multimedia website exploring several variants of francophone identity and culture. "Francophone" contains pedagogical exercises and discussion questions, providing an excellent complement to class lectures. Each site section, or chapter, could be adapted for a brief overview during a single class or a more in-depth study over the course of a week.

	governance/ institutions		European Parliament website of the European Parliament, the Community institution that represents the peoples of the Member States of the European Union. Its President directs its activities and acts as its representative. Site features news, activities, and a list of all current MEPs-updated daily.
	integration		Archive of European Integration an electronic repository and archive for research materials on the topic of European integration and unification, based at the University of Pittsburgh. The AEI collects two types of materials: certain types of independently-produced research materials and official European Community/European Union documents.
	professional association		ECPR (European Consortium for Professional Research) an independent, scholarly association, which supports and encourages the training, research and cross-national cooperation of many thousands of academics and graduate students specialising in political science and all its sub-disciplines.
	professional association		European Union Studies Association premier scholarly and professional association, worldwide, focusing on the European Union, the ongoing integration process, and transatlantic relations.

	Europe Youth Portal		[Students ages 15-25]. This site offers many opportunities to budding filmmakers, aspiring diplomats, and community activists. It is an information source as well as a 'place' for interacting with other young Europeanists. Generous funding and grant opportunities, as well as discussion boards, round out this vital new site.
	European Glossary of Terms		[Teachers | Students]. This online glossary contains some 220 terms relating to European integration and the institutions and activities of the EU.
	EU Bookshop		[Teachers | Students]. An online service giving access to publications from the EU institutions, agencies and other bodies. In addition to the online bookshop, this service will offer an online catalogue and archive of all EU publications. *EU Bookshop will allow users to search for EU publications, order them and where possible, download copies.
