Students pursuing the major in Contemporary European Studies are provided individualized advising by the curriculum advisor, Dr. Tanya Kinsella, who is available to assist EURO majors in all stages of academic planning, including considering courses, internships, study abroad options, graduate programs, and career plans.
Prospective EURO majors should submit an Interest Form to euro@unc.edu, then meet with Dr. Kinsella to discuss their academic interests, develop a detailed plan of coursework, and consider study abroad or other international opportunities.
Because EURO is primarily intended as a second major, the curriculum requirements are most easily completed along with specialization in a traditional department. Students interested in EURO are therefore encouraged to declare the major as early as possible in their undergraduate career, and design a comprehensive and efficient course plan in consultation with the curriculum advisor.
