FOREWORD

This last printed edition of the UNC-CH Faculty Handbook was issued in 1994. Elizabeth McMahan of the Biology Department did the overall coordination, with the help and advice of Douglas Eyre of Geography, editor of previous editions. This electronic edition was prepared by scanning the printed edition. The Handbook is now in the process of revision. Please note at the beginning of each section the date of the most recent revision. Questions concerning the Handbook may be directed to Joseph S. Ferrell, Secretary of the Faculty.
