Smoking Prohibited in Certain Areas
Smoking or lighting of an open flame is prohibited at places with posted signs, within fifty feet of any aircraft, and within fifty feet of hangars, fuel trucks, fuel loading stations, tank farms, or fuel/oil storage areas.
Fires
No person may start an open fire any place at the Airport without permission of the Airport Manager.
Fire Codes
No person may store material or equipment, use flammable liquids or gases, or allow their premises to become in such conditions as to violate, in any manner, the fire code in force in the area of the Airport. The storage of paint thinners, fuels, or other such volatile materials in enclosed hangars is prohibited.
The Manager is responsible for placing and maintaining fire extinguishers at locations designated by the University Fire Marshall.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Airport and all its facilities are inspected at least twice per year, and that any hazardous conditions are corrected in the shortest reasonable time.
