Inspection and Acceptance of New Building

New buildings may not be occupied or used until inspected and accepted by the Division of State Construction. Using departments may not make any agreements to move into or use a building prior to its acceptance.

Occupancy Date

In the latter stages of construction, the Director of Construction Management will determine a target acceptance date. All using departments must make advance preparations with the Facilities Services Division to move from their present locations into the new building. These preparations with Facilities Services should be made two months in advance.
