Procedure Description
The SPA Recruitment Requisition is used by a department to initiate the recruitment process for a permanent staff position.Submission Schedule
The home department is encouraged to submit the SPA Recruitment Requisition as soon as it becomes aware of an opening it wants to fill, even though the position may not yet be vacant.Information Sources

Procedure Steps
Home department's responsibilities:
- Complete SPA Recruitment Requisition in HRIS requesting recruitment for a permanent staff employee.
- Post the "Announcement of SPA Position Recruitment" within the department.
HR Generalists' responsibilities:
- Approve and initiate recruitment process in HRIS upon receipt of SPA Recruitment Requisition from the home department.
- Screen applications for the vacancy and refer as appropriate to the home department.
Workforce Planning and Recruitment's responsibilities:
- Receive approved SPA Recruitment Requisition from HR Generalist.
- Post the vacancy information to the Staff Openings List, located at 104 Airport Drive, and to the Human Resources Web site.
- Process applications received for the vacancy and forward to HR Generalist for screening and referral.
