Acquiring Computer Support Services

State Information Technology Services (ITS) has established a procedure for State agencies requesting Systems Integration Services microcomputer and LAN installation support, or requiring analysis support for extended periods of time (not to exceed 12 months) to supplement the agency's support personnel. ITS provides a full range of integration support, from non-involvement to full participation in customer requirements. Customers can request direct use of a Convenience Contract vendor, or ITS can provide contractor and project management to the extent required.

Specialties Available

Specialties available through contract vendors include data network cabler/designer, LAN administrator, network products technician, systems integrator, senior systems integrator, project manager, and requirements analyst.

Procedure

Procedures, rates, and vendor information can be viewed at the ITS Web site.  

The vendor rates cited in the Systems Integration Convenience Contract include a 6% administrative fee for the cost of contract administration, tracking, selection, and dispute arbitration.

Urgent Requests

Urgent and emergency requests should be called in to Customer Support for immediate issuance of an authorization number and vendor list if needed. Clients can reach the 24-hour help desk at (800) 722-3946.

Payment

To pay for services acquired under the Systems Integration Convenience Contract, follow the Check Request procedure for payment of temporary services in APY Procedure 1.  On the Check Request, you must cite the Tracking (Authorization) Number assigned by ITS as well as ITS contract number 602379.

Note: ITS contracts are available as a convenience only; their use is not mandatory.
