Code Title Title Definitions 20 Graduate Assistant A graduate student who performs a departmental educational function who is not a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant. 21 Teaching Assistant A graduate student who teaches a class or classes, or supervises a laboratory. 22 Research Assistant A graduate student who performs research functions 23 Predoctoral Fellow-Trainee A graduate student who holds an extremely sponsored fellowship or traineeship for compensation. 24 Clinical Fellow A dentist (DDS) or physician (MD) fully trained who is training in subspecialty. 25 Resident A dentist (DDS) or physician (MD) in post-graduate training. 26 Other Undergraduate / Miscellaneous A student enrolled in a baccalaureate program and other miscellaneous categories (i.e., Tutors, Athletic Interns and Managers, Outreach Counselors). 27 Postdoctoral Trainee An individual with an earned doctorate doing research, teaching or other training for a fixed period of time and receiving a stipend or training payment for non-service. 28 Postdoctoral Research Associate An individual with an earned doctorate doing research, teaching or other training for a fixed period of time and receiving compensation for services performed.
