Payroll Services
The Director of Payroll Services is responsible for the following:
- Overseeing the overall activities and management of Payroll Services
- Implementing changes to the payroll system
Biweekly Payroll Section
The Biweekly Payroll Section is responsible for the following:
- Preparing, auditing, and controlling payroll input data, output records, and reports for all University SPA (subject to the State Personnel Act) (staff) employees and all undergraduate student employees and part-time academic service appointments that coincide with an academic year or semester
- Preparing payrolls for graduate assistants employed during the summer
Monthly Payroll Section
The Monthly Payroll Section is responsible for the following:
- Preparing, auditing, and controlling payroll input data, output records, and reports for all University EPA (exempt from the State Personnel Act) employees and part-time academic service appointees not included on the biweekly payroll
- Preparing all summer school payrolls except those included on the biweekly payroll
Deductions and Reports Section
The Deductions and Reports Section is responsible for the following:
- Preparing, auditing, and entering input data for all voluntary deductions and salary reductions
- Reconciling non-statutory deduction and salary reduction accounts for the different companies and agencies involved (except Prudential Group Life)
- Reconciling non-statutory deduction and salary reduction accounts for the different companies and agencies involved.
- Reconciling statutory deduction accounts
- Monitoring payroll clearing accounts
- Remitting payments to State, federal, and local agencies and private companies for whom payroll deductions and salary reductions are made
