Procedure Description

The University provides On-Call Pay to eligible staff employees subject to the availability of funds.

On-Call Pay is included in "gross pay" for required statutory deductions such as Federal and State income tax withholding, Social Security, and State retirement.

Procedure Steps

The employee's department must complete the Form UP-41, On-Call Pay Authorization, for each pay period in which an eligible employee is scheduled for and completes On-Call duty. The form should be turned in to Payroll Services on the same schedule as followed in the submission of the Form PR-7, Employee Time Record (see PAY Procedure 1).
