General Information
The following responsibilities have been delegated to the Property Office:
- Handling all real property transactions, including leases, for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
recording and maintaining deeds and records,
and serving as University liaison with State and local leasing agents;
- Collecting property rents due the University and disbursing rents owed by the University,
authorizing expenditures from these accounts,
and maintaining University rental properties; and
- Processing requests for leasehold improvements on properties leased by the University,
preparing specifications for need for space,
securing necessary approvals,
and performing all related tasks associated with the occupancy of off-campus space.Responsibilities arising from historic properties have been assigned to the Facilities Planning Division.
The Director of the Property Office reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction.
Location
The Property Office is located at 205 Wilson Street, CB #1060.
