Re:  Call for Nominations: Deadline March 26, 1999

UMA Manager of the Year Award

The University Managers Association annually recognizes the contributions of outstanding University managers with its Manager of the Year Award. UMA Membership includes over 200 managers across the campus, representing every area of the University. If you know individuals who have done outstanding work in management please consider nominating them for this award. The award will be presented at the UMA Annual Meeting in April, and announcement of the winner will appear in several campus publications.

Criteria

                    1 University career accomplishments, both inside and outside normal job responsibilities.

OR

2. A specific accomplishment made within the past twelve (12) months, which has been of major significance. The specific accomplishment cited may be inside or outside of the nominee's primary area of responsibility.

 Nomination Information

                    1. Any UNC-CH employee may make a nomination.

2. Active UMA members (dues paid) are eligible to be nominated. UMA Board members are ineligible. If you have questions, contact Fran Allegri, Chair, Morale and Recognition Committee (see below).                     3. Submit a written nomination (no longer than one page).

                    4. The UMA Morale & Recognition Committee will review all nominations to ensure

                    that they meet the criteria for nomination. Eligible nominations will be forwarded

to the UMA Board, who makes the final selection.
                    5. Nominations are not carried forward from one year to the next. Late nominations

                    will not be considered.
