Dear Colleagues:

The Office of Technology Development is recruiting for the soon to be vacant position of Technology Development Associate. The selected candidate will replace Dr. Bronwen Nishikawa who recently resigned from OTD after serving as a TDA for 2 1/2 years. The recruitment announcement/position description is attached. I am writing to ask you to forward this announcement and encourage qualified individuals to apply.

The Technology Development Associate for the Office of Technology Development is a key member of the professional staff reporting directly to me. OTD received 106 new disclosures, licensed 63 inventions and filed 78 U.S. patent applications in FY98. New inventions are reported from the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Public Health, Business and Information and Library Science and the College of Arts and Science. Additional information about OTD may be obtained at the Internet address: http://research.unc.edu/otd

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Francis J. Meyer,
Associate Vice Provost and Director,
Office of Technology Development
