Re: Procedures for Preparation of Documents Related to EPA Salaries and Wages, Non-Service
Post Doctoral Awards, and Other Practices

     This memorandum is to provide guidance concerning the procedures necessary for processing payments to permanent and temporary EPA employees, for disbursing awards to recipients of Non-Service Post Doctoral Awards, and for processing certain other documents. The procedures are described in accordance with the following sections:

I. General Information
II. Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time EPA Appointment (paid monthly)
III. Temporary Part-Time Appointment (Graduate Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Clinical
     Fellow, etc. (paid bi-weekly))

IV. Non-Degree Candidate Non-Service Post Doctoral Awards (paid monthly)
V. Temporary EPA Full-Time and Part-Time (paid monthly)
VI. Health Insurance for Temporary Full-Time Postdoctoral Service Awards
VII. Graduate Student Health Insurance Program
VIII. Payroll Deduction of Graduate Student Tuition and Fees
