Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is the nearest airport to Chapel Hill (approximately 20 miles from campus), and is served by most major carriers. Unfortunately there is no airport-hotel shuttle service. Taxi fare is about USD$35 each way.

Hotel

Holiday Inn (Chapel Hill) is conveniently located 3.5 miles away from the conference site on 15-501 at the Eastgate Shopping Center at 1301 North Fodham Boulevard (15-501). Call 1-919-929-2171 to reach the hotel's front desk. Day's Inn (Chapel Hill) is also located near the Eastgate Shopping Center at 1312 North Fordham Boulevard (15-501). Call 1-919-929-3090 to reach the hotel's front desk. The D bus line can be taken from the Eastgate Shopping Center, taking you to the UNC campus in approximately 20 minutes (bus schedule can be found here).

Another (more expensive) option is the new Franklin Hotel on Franklin Street. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the Franklin Hotel to the Global Education Center. For more information or to book a room, please visit their website.

While in Chapel Hill

Participants may find the UNC Visitors Center useful. Contained therein is a campus map (pdf | interactive), which is a useful resource for finding your way around campus.
