JOMC 006K: Understanding the Visual World
GC Aesthetic/Fine Arts
Michael Williams

Since the earliest times, human beings have used visual forms to share their thoughts and record their history. To participate confidently in the information age, students must understand the principles guiding the creation, selection and use of photography, illustration, color theory, typography, graphic design, video production, and information packaging. We will also become more aware of the ethical challenges facing mass communicators and find ways to present our views in the most effective manner.
