About Us

COLORS (the student group formerly known as United for New Ideas Toward Ethnic Diversity, or UNITED) started a little over four years ago by a few students who wanted to be heard. They wanted people to realize that you cannot separate one aspect of a person’s identity to fight for without overlooking much of what makes that person an individual. And today we are still devoted to addressing these same issues.

COLORS is a subgroup of the GLBT-SA devoted to the issues of queer people of color and their allies and seeks to provide a safe space for their interactions, and personal, intellectual, and social growth. For more information, contact Kimberly Fisher: fkimberl@email.unc.edu
