Welcome to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender - Straight Alliance (GLBTSA)!

Our Mission

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender - Straight Alliance of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill advocates and educates on issues affecting LGBTQ-identified people in the Southeastern United States. By creating dialogues between heterosexual and LGBTQ communities; networking with campus and community progressive organizations; building an affirming LGBTQ social environment; and advocating for the civil rights of all people, we create a community of LGBTQ people and their allies that supports and affirms all aspects of their identities.

Our Meetings

We typically meet each Thursday at 7 pm in room 3209 of the Student Union, but sometimes we'll have a special event that might meet at a different time or day. Be sure to check the calendar for specific details about this week's events.
